Meet OHAYŌ

OHAYŌ is a Japanese vintage shop in Copenhagen

OHAYŌ means good morning in Japanese

OHAYŌ is a Japanese concept store in Denmark, offering a blend of Japanese vintage, art, and original designs.

OHAYŌ was founded in 2017 by three friends Mika, Niklas and Benjamin. We met in Osaka in 2012 where we studied design. Back then, we lived in buildings facing each other, and each morning Benjamin would lean out his window and scream “Mika! Ohayooo!!”.

Eventually, we had to return to Copenhagen, but we still live in buildings facing each other, and Benjamin still yells Ohayō most mornings.

A Piece of Japan

OHAYŌ travels to Japan to handpick antiques, ceramics, vintage textiles, and curiosities. We work closely with small Japanese manufacturers to bring unique and carefully crafted pieces to our collection.
